Dr. Sara Brown, FAAO grew up in southern Indiana and graduated with highest distinction from Indiana University with a bachelor of arts in chemistry and a minor in both psychology and Spanish. She also attended Indiana University for optometry school and was valedictorian of her graduating class. Following optometry school, Dr. Brown completed a residency, specializing in cornea and contact lenses at the University of Houston College of Optometry, where she is currently clinical adjunct assistant professor.
Dr. Brown is a therapeutic optometrist and a glaucoma specialist. She joined Slade and Baker Vision Center in May of 2011. Along with performing comprehensive eye examinations and cataract evaluations, Dr. Brown identifies refractive surgery candidates, provides pre- and post-operative care of surgical patients and fits simple and specialty contact lenses. Dr. Brown is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry.
