Alexandra Lovoy, O.D.

Dr. Alexandra Lovoy was born in Virginia and grew up in South Florida. Her passion for optometry started in high school and grew when she attended Florida State University, where she volunteered with the Special Olympics, and helped give eye exams to athletes. She attended Rosenberg School of Optometry where she graduated cum laude with a Doctorate in Optometry. She is currently a Texas Optometry Board Licensed Therapeutic Optometrist.

During her externship rotations, Dr. Lovoy worked at a Veterans Affairs hospital and a community clinic, managing a high volume of patients with ocular disease. She also rotated through a cataract and refractive surgery practice where her interest in co-management settings grew.

After graduating from optometry school, Dr. Lovoy completed a rigorous residency in ocular disease and refractive surgery at Eye Center of Texas. She worked alongside ophthalmologists and managed patients with a variety of conditions including dry eye disease, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and keratoconus.

At Slade & Baker Vision Center, Dr. Lovoy performs comprehensive eye examinations, cataract evaluations, identifies refractive surgery candidates, provides pre- and post-operative care of surgical patients, and fits contact lenses.

Dr. Lovoy lives in Sugar Land, Texas with her fiancé and their new dog. She enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.
