Dr. Nikitha Reddy is a fellowship-trained ophthalmologist with advanced training in glaucoma, cataract, and complex anterior segment surgery. She is an enthusiastic and compassionate physician who is committed to providing exemplary medical care.

Dr. Reddy graduated from The University of Texas at Austin summa cum laude as a Health Science Scholar, which is entitled to exceptional students in health professions. She received her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas, where she discovered her passion for Ophthalmology. She completed her internship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Beverly Hills, California before returning to Dallas for Ophthalmology residency at UT Southwestern/Parkland Memorial Hospital, the largest and one of the highest volume surgical programs in the country. During residency, Dr. Reddy trained in modern and laser cataract surgery with advanced technology lens implants.

Following residency, Dr. Reddy completed the prestigious Glaucoma and Advanced Anterior Segment Surgery (GAASS) Fellowship under the mentorship of the world-renowned surgeon, Dr. Ike Ahmed, who is globally recognized for pioneering minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries (MIGS). During her rigorous clinical and surgical training with Dr. Ahmed in Toronto, she pushed the boundaries of her knowledge and surgical skills and gained expertise in advanced treatments and technologies for glaucoma and complex anterior segment cases. In addition, she has published peer-reviewed research and presented at several national conferences.

Dr. Reddy’s practice specializes in routine/complex cataract surgery as well as medical, laser, and surgical treatment of glaucoma. She also specializes in surgical treatment for complex anterior segment pathology. She is an active member of the following societies:  American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Glaucoma Society, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, Interventional Glaucoma Consortium.

She enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and two dogs. She also enjoys staying active by playing team sports, working out, dancing, traveling, reading, and delving into the rich food and culture scene of Houston.
