Last week, our very own Dr. Bennett Walton was a featured faculty member on stage at the 2019 Southern Eye Congress in Florida. Dr. Walton covered various lectures and educated the crowd about the SMILE procedure, the Light Adjustable Lens, and he also participated in a debate with Dr. Cathleen McCabe entitled: “Low Add Multifocal vs. Extended Depth of Focus”.
During his lecture about the Light Adjustable Lens Dr. Walton presented the technology to a panel of other industry experts, similar to the TV show Shark Tank. His talk received the highest support among the different technologies presented and he won the Shark Tank! Pictures included below!

As we shared above, Dr. Walton also covered the SMILE procedure for laser vision correction during his lecture at the Southern Eye Congress and taught about the importance of critical thinking and best practices when taking measurements of the eye in preparation for surgery.
