Richard suffered from severely blurred vision due to the keratoconus in one of his eyes. He couldn’t see close, he couldn’t see far, they tried to treat him with contact lenses, changed the lenses, varying types, etc. and nothing helped. In his words, “everything was blurry.”
Richard was determined to figure out how to improve his vision. He did his research and found Dr. Slade at our office. Read more to see Richard’s CXL journey!

We have written many blogs about patient experiences at our office.
Patient LASIK experiences, Patient Laser Cataract Experiences, Patient’s experiences with clinical trials we are conducting…but after doing our research, none of the blogs have been viewed as much as the ones regarding personal friends. We posted one a couple years back about the horrors of a friend sleeping in her contacts. Believe it or not, that is our highest viewed blog to date. Read more about MY personal LASIK experience!

Ms. Nancy Hamner saw her regular eye doctor every year in the beautiful Woodlands, Texas. As the mother of an optometrist, her vision was always something she considered and took good care of. We can explain how important it is to have a surgeon who cares about your outcomes, we can also explain to you as a patient what it feels like to have the proper support from office staff during a surgery or procedure that can truly affect your vision such as laser cataract surgery. However, our explanation is nowhere close to how it sounds through one of our actual patient’s words. Those of you who have a loved one who is having vision problems, or looking into laser cataract surgery, or any eye surgery for that matter, please read below and share it with them.

We can write about what happens at our office any day of the week. We can explain to patients how LASIK works, how they will feel, the entire process. We can even show them videos and animations thanks to technology. However, hearing what happens from another party, in their own words, especially one of our patients is the most valuable, real feedback there could be. This was a testimonial a patient willingly shared on the internet and we are sharing with our followers! Thank you so much for the kind words but most of all for providing the story to future potential LASIK success stories! Please see below for a real-life LASIK experience from consultation to end!
